FACILITY USE 

GENERAL POLICIES
  • The facilities are available for members, regular attendees, and certain not-for-profit functions. Priority will be given to events and activities scheduled for church-sponsored events. Second priority will be given to members or regular attendees over outside fellowship groups when submitted 60 days in advance. All other requests will be on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • Once a group has been approved to use a room or combination of rooms, the group coordinator will be responsible for oversight and for proper care of the church property and furnishings during the event. The group will be expected to pay for any damages incurred.
  • Smoking, alcoholic beverages, illegal drugs, foul language or gambling are not permitted on church property. Users are expected to conduct themselves in a manner consistent with church teachings and Christian standards.
  • The use of CBC multi-media, sound, music equipment, and video, including lighting, will be allowed only if operated by CBC-trained personnel. Any moving or use of church instruments must be approved and arranged in advance.
  • Any event using the CBC name and address, etc., is to be reviewed by an elder or the board 30 days prior to release to the public and must have facility use approval first.
  • All events for children and youth under the age of 18 must have adult supervision at all times. The adults must have met CBC’s Children & Youth Workers Policy and be present until all the children/teens have been picked up by their parents.
  • Nursery use for any function requires a minimum of two caregivers. At least one caregiver must be over 21 years of age and female.
  • CBC ministries should submit a building request form for any activities other than regularly scheduled meetings to coordinate scheduling.  Board approval is required only for activities involving outreach.
  • All events must conclude no later than 10:00 pm in order to maintain a peaceful environment for the surrounding neighborhood.
  • At the church’s discretion, any failure to follow these guidelines will forfeit the event deposit and may forfeit the privilege to use the facilities in the future.
KITCHEN USE
  • Use of the warming ovens and stove ovens to keep food warm and use of the refrigerator & ice machine will be permitted.  Use of church supplies and the church freezer will not be allowed.
  • Any appliances used must be cleaned.  All countertops, sinks and floors will be cleaned by the user.
  • Proper disposal of all leftover food, paper products, etc. is necessary, either in the dumpster at the rear of the church or removed from church property.
  • Non-CBC groups must provide their own table coverings, napkins, place settings, decorations, etc.
PAVILION USE
  • Limited parking is available at the pavilion site.  Overflow parking is available in the church parking lot.  Parking in the grass is not permitted.
  • Restroom facilities will not be available inside the church.  If desired, port-a-potties can be rented at the expense of the user and must be placed on the parking lot.
  • Open fires are only allowed in the designated fire area(s) and must be extinguished before leaving.  Fireworks and firecrackers are not permitted on church property.
NON-ATTENDER FEES
  • $100 deposit required (refundable if event is cancelled), remaining balance due will be invoiced upon completion of event.
  • $200 Auditorium
  • $50/hr - Family Life Center, Lobby, Gathering Room, Pavilion ($100 minimum)
  • Note that the fee schedule applies to setup time, also.
BEFORE YOU LEAVE
  • All garbage must be bagged and deposited in the church dumpster.
  • All decorations must be removed from the tables, walls, etc. immediately after an event is over unless prior arrangements have been made.
